Press Release: Gateway Longview Named One of Buffalo's Best Places to Work

Buffalo, NY – Gateway Longview, a community leader in behavioral and mental health since 1890, has been named one of Western New York’s “2020 Best Places to Work” by Buffalo Business First. Gateway Longview received the first time recognition in the “extra-large” category, those that employ 250 or more individuals. Employees were asked to complete the Quantum Workplace employee engagement survey, which was developed in 2003 by a panel of leaders in the field of employee engagement. The nominated organizations are voted on anonymously by employees.

“We are extremely proud of this award and are grateful to be recognized along with so many great Western New York organizations”, said Carolyne DeFranco, President & CEO of Gateway Longview. “Gateway Longview staff are the key to everything we do, and I am blessed to work with individuals that believe in our core values of demonstrating integrity, safety, empowerment, diversity, and collaboration in the workplace.”

Just as in 1918, throughout the Spanish Flu pandemic, the Gateway Longview staff has remained committed to protecting, enriching and giving hope during the COVID-19 pandemic. The continuation of essential services has carried on by way of web-based and tele-health sessions, while Gateway Longview’s Youth Care Professionals have continued to serve residential youth on campus by adhering to the guidelines set by the New York State Department of Health, and have worked diligently as protocols and directives have rapidly changed.

“It’s an honor for us to be given this award”, said Erin Bice, Vice President of Human Resources. “We would like to thank all of our employees for their contribution to making Gateway Longview such a great place to work.”

Gateway Longview prides itself on offering employees a generous benefit package including almost fully paid health insurance, generous time off, tuition reimbursement, and a retirement savings plan, just to name a few. Gateway Longview also highlights the work and difference employees make throughout the year through campaigns like “Living the Vision.”

Gateway Longview is currently seeking to hire full-time and part time positions including youth care professionals, case workers, social workers, teachers, and clinicians. For more information or to apply, visit gateway-longview.org/careers.
