What led you to fostering?
"When I was 10 years old I met a girl that my dad's boss was fostering. I have always remembered her and her story. It made me want to help. When I became a teacher one of my best students was also in foster care with her siblings. After teaching her I was certain I wanted to foster.
When I met Neil and we got engaged we agreed to foster eventually. After struggling to have our own biological children we decided to look into foster care. We received our first placement only to find out that I was in fact 6 weeks pregnant!"
How is the family now?
"We are doing great. We are excited to be legally a family, but really nothing has changed. We have been a family since the day Kayleigh came into our home and had she left, she would still always be part of our family. All three kids want another baby!"
