Pumpkin Run 5K & Family Fun Walk
More than 300 people hit the pavement for Western New York’s premier Halloween-themed 5K run and family-fun walk last year, and it keeps growing every year! This year’s Pumpkin Run is Sunday, October 15, 2017. The Pumpkin Run is a USATF-certified 5K race that benefits the children and families served by Gateway Longview. The 5K race starts on Main Street in Williamsville and ends on Gateway Longview’s Main Street Campus. A fall-themed, family-friendly post-race party with prizes, food, awards, music, health + wellness activities, and much more! Participants of all ages are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes! Sponsorship opportunities are available. Visit www.BuffaloPumpkinRun.com for more information.
The Adopt-an-Angel campaign provides Christmas presents to over 900 “Angels,” or children ranging in age from infants to age 21 who are part of Gateway Longview’s behavioral health, special education, residential treatment, and community-based programs. Your support will help to make their Christmas merry, and for some, may be the only gift they receive this Christmas. Gateway Longview is in need of winter clothes, boots, and jackets of all sizes, educational activities, hygiene products, gift cards, and arts & crafts supplies. The unwrapped gifts can be returned to Gateway’s “Angel Headquarters,” which will then be delivered to the children’s homes before Christmas. For more information, call (716) 783-3100, ext.3219.
