Gateway Longview’s Community Support Services programs are based on the child and family’s strengths and the resources of the child’s community.
- The Community Support Services professionals brings support services, such as mentoring, parenting assistance, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, to the child, or children, and family, in their home, school or community setting.
- Community Support Services programs assist not only Gateway Longview clients, but families receiving assistance through Erie County’s Family Voices Network.
- Community Support Services currently employs approximately 120 per diem staff members to assist children and families.
KinCARES Family Support Program
The KinCARES Family Support Program is a voluntary service that assists families in Erie County that have stepped forward to care for their kin. Our team works with each family to establish stability, safety, and improve their well-being while they prepare to handle the multitude of challenges that may arise when caring for family members. The program also provides effective parenting strategies and connects families to community resources for additional support.
