Community Support Improves IT Infrastructure

JRO Tower FdnsThanks to generous grants from the John R. Oishei Foundation and The Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Foundation, Gateway-Longview is elated to be closing out the final phases of our 2013 Technology Initiative, completing the installation of seven new virtualized Microsoft 2012 servers, a critically important upgrade from the 2003 technology that had more than doubled its average life expectancy.

The infrastructure, which safeguards Protected Health Information (PHI) for thousands of clients and enables compliance with HIPAA guidelines, addresses current needs while also establishing a sustainable platform for enhanced services to more families and individuals in our community.

Because of support from these community-focused organizations, Gateway-Longview is well positioned for today’s climate of ever expanding technology and electronic record-keeping methods within the health and educational systems.
